KSA September Newsletter
in Word or pdf format

The KSA is an organisation run by the parents whose main objectives are to "advance the education of the pupils of the school by assisting in the provision of facilities and to foster more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school".

All parents that have children at Kentisbeare School are automatically members of the Kentisbeare School Association, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to the meetings and the fund raising events held regularly at the school.

The KSA has been very successful at raising large sums of money at the regular events.

At the beginning of every school year the Head Teacher produces a Wish List of equipment that the teaching staff feel would be of benefit to the children. We are very proud to say that most of the Wish List is fulfilled each year thanks to the fantastic support by parents at each of the fund raising events.

Over the last few years the money we have raised has been spent on: dictionaries and thesaurus, musical instruments, playtime equipment (Diablos, skipping ropes etc), road safety equipment, CD players, digital cameras for the IT suite, the coaches for swimming lessons. The KSA even purchased the playing field, which is held in trust by the KSA for the school.

We hold various, hopefully fun, fund raising events throughout the year, some aimed at families and some pure adult social. A monthly newsletter is produced with up to date lists of what's coming up, a copy of which can always be obtained from the school office.
