Stephanie Hicks

For the last five years I have been a Foundation Governor of Kentisbeare School . Foundation Governors represent the church on the governing body. I sit on the Curriculum, Finance and Personnel Committees have been vice-chair and am currently the chair.

I have a son in year six and have been involved, as a parent, with various school activities as well as a spell as secretary for the KSA.
My academic background includes a BSc in Politics and an MA in International Relations. My working life has included working for Oxfam and I now enjoy working at the Kentisbeare Pre-school .

I've now been a Governor for 3 years having started as  parent Governor and now elected as a Foundation Governor. I'm currently the vice chair of the Governing body and chair the premises committee and sit on the PR committee.  I live in Blackborough and run an IT business. We have a daughter who is currently at Kentisbeare School .

I am mum to Lexie in year 3, Olivia in year 2 and have a new baby too.  I joined the Governing body as a parent governor in 2009.  

Previously a Primary school teacher, I now work for the South West grid for Learning trust as an e-Learning consultant and am currently responsible for the SWGfL Merlin learning platform project.

I joined the Governing Body as a Parent Governor in 2009 following my eldest daughter's entrance to the school. My interests will hopefully lie domains / sub-committees of Curriculum, Child Protection and Special Educational Needs. Outside of Kentisbeare Primary School, I am kept busy as an East Devon GP and father of three.

I joined the Governing Body as a Local Education Authority Governor in 1983, at around the time that my children were starting school at Kentisbeare. 

Since then I've been Vice-Chair and Chair of Governors as well as sitting on the Finance and Personnel Committees. 

I work for the Environment Agency's National Laboratory Service as part of the National Data Team and my wife Barbara works at Kentisbeare School as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

 

 

 

Jamie Sullivan

 

I was newly appointed as a Parent Governor in February 2010. My background is in education, where I have been a Primary School teacher for 10 years.

Currently I am working at a Junior School in Exeter , where I have also been a Teacher Governor for 4 years.

I am married with 2 children, the eldest of which began in Yellow class in September 2009.
